Why does Coca-Cola taste different depending on what part of the country you purchase the product?!
Answers: Not only do different locations use different amounts of syrup when making coca cola, they also use different types of sugar when making the syrup. For example, Mexico uses actual pure cane sugar while the United States uses refined sugar. This will make a slight difference in taste. The locations not only do this to cater to the taste of the area, but also because they try to use the closest ingredients from that region.
I've never noticed that. I thought it all came from the same factory and should all taste the same.
But i have noticed that soda from a glass bottle tastes better than soda from a can, and canned soda tastes better than plastic bottled soda.
Different bottling plants use local water, which could affect the taste. If you buy it in a place that provides it from a tap, it could also be the percentage of syrup to water they use.
I believe it is because of the water used in the manufacture of the coca-cola. Different area, different water taste
I don't know about in the US - some times its the amount of syrup used in the mix, or the water quality, etc...
There is a CocaCola museum in Las Vegas and they have different cokes and other soft drinks from around the world to try...the coke tasted really weird from Africa and India - nothing like here. It was interesting.
