Yuck. I HATE frappucino lights. I can deff. taste that nasty spelnda in there. Our light base is made with 3/4 splenda. From my personal opinion, I don't suggest getting light base. Splenda isn't good for you anyway, but if you like splenda you should order a light base frappucino.

As for your second question, at MOST (not all) sbux, we have a frappucino "fridge". Ours is called Gloria. =D It usually holds the regular frappucino base. Our light base is usually kept in a pitcher with a light green lid in a separate fridge under Gloria. If you want to be sure you get the light base, just ask your barista kindly to make sure they use light base only, but like I said above, you can really taste the difference between the regular & the light.

Well..sometimes we do if the customer is a jerk. But only if they're a REALLY big jerk.
The difference in the taste is that the light has some of the sugar substituted with Splenda, so you get that fake sweetener aftertaste. Also the texture is a little different from the regular ones, it's a bit fluffier. And another difference is that the light frappuccinos don't get whipped cream.

i think they do taste different, fattening ones taste better, so a think i would know if they give me a fattening one if i order ligth

The difference is the sugar. In the light frap there is Splenda not real sugar also there is low fat milk.

Thats the taste difference. And yes it is light. Plus they don't give you the whipped cream which actually is one of the worst things to have at Starbucks. But its my favorite.

If you get the "fattening" mix its actually not to bad calories wise. It really depends on alot of factors with what syrups and other things you put into the Frap.

Keep getting light. Its better for you. Or just get a regular latte with non-fat milk is will have less calories.

don't know about the taste but for your other question i would say about 99% of employees would not do that to you so it's NOTHING to worry about.
