What are essentail sugars?!
Answers: Do we really need sugar? I'm confused.
Many people are confused, because we are being lied to as to how much sugar we can have or need.
In contradistinction to the United Nations report, the Sugar Association of the United States of America insists that other evidence indicates that a quarter of human food and drink intake can safely consist of sugar.
However, when we are talking about essential sugars we are referring to the Good Carbohydrates.
White bread, potatoes, and refined cereals, which are rapidly digested, create a surge in blood sugar levels, and so these are "bad carbs". Foods such as vegetables, whole grain products, and beans are metabolized more slowly, largely because of their fiber content. These foods don't cause drastic changes in blood sugar levels and thereby eliminate the highs and lows that can lead to excess snacking and sugar cravings.
