That's a double yolk egg. Double yolk egg won't produce twin chicks. Even it's double yolk, only 1 chick will produced.

wow that is so cool!!
maybe twin eggs

it's called a double yolk it's not common in store bought eggs but it's not unusual either i have owned chickens my entire life and yes it is just like twins

Yep, it could be twins but I know they've genetically altered some chickens to produce two yolks in one egg and this kind of egg is usually supplied to hotels.

So common that a girl put this same question on about two weeks ago. I asked her if she ate the double yolk egg and she said yes.

Honestly, "Rainbow", this is really NOT all that un-common. You'll usually find these in the Extra-Large eggs. Once, I had an ENTIRE DOZEN of them.

Yes, I agree--they ARE pretty cool! And, YES, again, these UN-fertilized eggs that we buy at the grocery store--if they were fertilized, and allowed to hatch, you would get twins out of this one egg. However, these eggs are UN-fertilized, and even if you put it in an incubator (in attempt to hatch it), it would just stay there until it rotted---so, tell your friend to go ahead and EAT it--they're really good, too. ENJOY!
