Question: Which wines are not to dry with turkey or ham?

Answers: Which wines are not to dry with turkey or ham?

I love Borolo... try Paolo Scavino 2003 Barolo Nebbiolo Wine

Wow, there are a lot of correct answers for this one! Why is the question directed to Italians, anyway? Wine is wine, and dinner is dinner. (I am, however, Italian)

We're doing a pretty traditional Feast of Fishes dinner on Christmas Eve; there will be haddock, lobster, clams, scallops, etc. prepared in many different ways. Wine has NEVER been a real brain-busting decision for us (my family). We'll go with a fairly inexpensive white zinfandel, as we usually do. It's light, it's less "oaky" than a chardonnay, and it's neither dry nor particularly sweet.

You were probably expecting me to suggest Chianti, which is certainly more traditionally Italian. In our case, however, I don't think it would be the best choice, although it certainly wouldn't RUIN the meal, by any means. Chianti is a little too sweet, and a little too full-bodied, to really work well with seafood. In fact, I would go so far as to suggest choosing another wine to serve with turkey or ham, like a Shiraz or a zinfandel. Save the Chianti for beef or lamb, or (if you're lucky enough to have one) Christmas goose.

Pizza and Boone's Farm.

I am Itallian and I hate wine.
