I say you should just go with what you want and not care what anyone else thinks....I mean your you and you can't let someone else tell you what you can and can't like if you did that life wouldn't be worth living

No. I really want one of those indoor hydroponic garden set-ups. You know the little ones with the lights and all in which you can grow herbs or salad greens.

It's great- you'll love it. You can have one outdoors or indoors. I use the herbs all the time- it's convenient, tastes wonderful, and the cost of those fresh herbs at the stores are outrageous. I have a rosemary bush outside that's going on 8 years. You'll be doing searches to find new ways to use your herbs! Fresh basil on pizza is sooo good!

It's a great idea!

I want one too!

I think it is a great idea!
If it will make you happy then that is what you should ask for!
It may seem silly to your son because of his age but if it is within his reach to get you....I say go for it!

He doesn't get it - why would anybody want to grow something? Ha! No, it isn't lame -- if you told them you wanted girly fuzzy slippers, they'd look at you cross-eyed. Now, as long as they don't get you a Chia Head!... Happy holidays, Mom!

No, not at all. There's nothing wrong with loving to cook and being interested in an herb garden. He should be thankful that you're asking for that and not a Bentley or diamonds.

I wish my mom was that easy to shop for.

Children are gonna think their parents are lame no matter what they say or do. You could have said a Playstation 3 and may have made the same face. (My mom wants a Playstation 3? *shock & awe*)

I think it's a fabulous gift idea. I would like one. I can't tell you the numerous times I've only used a small amount of an herb then had to throw out the rest because it went bad.

While it does not matter what I think. Incidentally I think it is an awesome idea as fresh herbs are profoundly superior to their dry counterparts.

It can also be a good way for you to better get your children involved in the wonderful world of culinary delights in a more hands on way.

I know some people who are still surprised that some herbs are shrubs, plants etc. This might prevent your children from being one of those people.

If he does get you one, just make sure you use it.

It is a great idea.
He probably gave you that look because he has no idea what it is or where to get one.

What a wonderful idea!
Wish I would have thought of it.
Hope you get one and enjoy it thruout the year.

well personally, if i saw some dude dressing in a santa costume hoeing my garden.. that would be the best christmas ever. and im 18, and definately no mom

i guess not..if you really enjoy that kind of stuff...go 4 it!!

Ask him for an AeroGarden ... google this on the computer & show him what it is.
