Why is a drumstick called a drumstick?!

Question: You know, the piece chicken. It looks nothing like an actual drumstick.

Answers: You know, the piece chicken. It looks nothing like an actual drumstick.

It looks like drumsticks of old. Back in the day (and even today) there are sticks for big drums that are similar.

If it was called a guitar stick it would just sound stupid :)

Back a long time ago, someone decided that a chicken leg looked like a drumstick. Back then drumsticks were rounded on one end and bigger. Like a chicken leg.

Because cavemen used to use chicken legs as drumsticks before drumsticks were invented..........yes cavemen had drumsets.
