Taste buds are not really working. I need help?!

Question: since i had surgery on my throat i dont really have taste buds. i just have started eating again. I didnt eat for about 2 weeks, could this be the problem? I can taste just a little bit

Oh you poor thing! You must be getting frustrated and skinny too. I'd give it a few more days but if it doesn't get better soon you should tell your doctor. Try some salty soup. Salt is your strongest taste. Try something spicy, maybe that will perk those buds up. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.

This is just a guess but... maybe you should see a doctor? it just seems that someone with medical training would know more about this than people with nothing to do but get points on yahoo answers.
