What is the difference between the vegetable crisper and the main refridgerator?!

Question: I thought the crisper was kept colder, but apparently it is kept warmer? That's what I read on Wikipedia:

Some refrigerators are now divided into four zones to store different types of food:

* -18 °C (0 °F) (freezer)
* 0 °C (32 °F) (meats)
* 5 °C (40 °F) (refrigerator)
* 10 °C (50 °F) (vegetables)

ummm, well one thing is that it is in a drawer, which means the cold air wont fall out when you open the door as you look for what you will have for dinner for the next 5 days... and i think it does stay cooler, and it will be away from all the smells of all the other food.

The crisper is the draw/draws at the bottom of the fridge & it's used to store veges & stuf in it to keep them fresh.
The main refridgerator is the rest of the fridge besides the freezer & the door.
