A chili question? Too many a health risk?!
Answers: I grow quite a lot of varieties of chili, I love my food as spicey as possible and can add up to 30 or 40 chili's to a single portion dish. If I don't eat something spicey in a day I feel withdrawal symptoms almost. Is there any risk to my guts eating so many chili's? Thanks.
Like the saying goes,
Too much of anything is bad for you,
every thing in moderation...
I doubt chili's are terribly bad for you, I do think they can be addictive though.
I don't really know, I know a small amount of chilli can be good for you but it does seem you are overdoing it a bit. Best to see your GP just in case
Don't think so...in fact I thought the opposite was correct that they had protective properties....although everything in moderation.
no risk to your gut but a it might clog up your arteries eventually
yes i grow and eat them raw all the thyme
It's possible that the corrosive effects of the peppers could contribute to ulcer formation, but I don't know if it would be the only cause. If you start to get heartburn or reflux symptoms, I'd definitely check with a doctor!
I don't think so, but enjoy, it sounds like one tasty dish!
only problem i know you can have is burning the taste buds off your tongue-unless you develop ulcers then them peppers are going to talk to you
Too much of anything is not good for you, but providing your eating a balanced diet you'll be fine.
Chilli raises the acid level in the gut. That's handy because it destroys the bacteria that cause typhus and cholera. Unfortunately it also damages the flora of the gut which is why it comes out as hot as it goes in. If you overdo it, you risk permanently damaging the lining of your digestive tract and this could lead to ulcers.
chilly are good but a little in amount more than 4 chili a day is going to weaken your immune system
chilies are bad for intestine it's weakens your digestion system but create frequent bowel movement
understand so try to eat less chillies as you can
