Is there such thing as eatable paint? And can I buy it in Nova Scotia?!

Question: I want to do a science fair project using my horse. I want to see if horses are color blind. I want to grow grass in pots, and then paint it different colors. I will do this for 1 week and record which grass my horse choses. Before I can start this I need to know if there is such a thing as "eatable paint" or if something else will work just as well.

Um... most "edable paint" is made from chocolate or sugar paste so it would thow off your test...

They would eat/not eat based on the paint not the grass.

I was thinking about this and I remembered how if you put food color in a vase with flowers the flowers will change color... Would that work with your growing grass??

Make like, 5 pots, and get 5 plastic cups, put a strong food coloring in 4 of the 5 cups, then only water the grass with the food colored water...

I don't know for sure if it will work but it is better then painting the grass which would throw off the test.

Good luck!!
