Yes. When we take the food off the grill, the next thing we do is immediately close the vents on the top and bottom of the grill to preserve the coals for the next cookout.

Over the years we've found that on most grills, a single layer of coals is sufficient to create the direct-medium fire recommended by many grilling recipes for things like steaks, burgers, pork chops, boneless chicken breasts, etc. For us it's almost always a combination of new and re-used charcoal briquettes.

Also, if you need help with grilling times you might want to try the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com. Enter the details about the items you're grilling (type of meat, thickness, doneness you want, etc) and it will give you instructions for when to put on and turn things so that everything comes off the grill at the same time, grilled just the way you want it. It also has grilling tips.

When re-using coals just be sure to get all of the previous ash off before you add the new coals, and if your grill has an ash catcher, be sure to keep it cleaned out to get maximum air flow through the bottom vents.

Hope this helps.

Sure! We do it all the time! Ypu'll have to add a bit of new briquettes, but might as well use up the partially burned ones too!

No u cant re-use coal.Once it is burnt, then u cant use it again bcoz its a non renewable resource.

yes you can though they are more difficult to light if they've been outside and are damp.

Absolutely you can reuse it, you just need to ad new briquette's too it to get it going.

You sure can..i do it quite a bit..you still have to add briquettes that are fresh but - it works just fine.
