Should Americans pay more tax on food because they are fatter than other people in other countries?!

Question: What a stupid question.

Answers: What a stupid question.

You are CRAZY! I can't belive you even think that!

we'll just use the money to buy more food

We should pay more tax on products that use carbon - so if a product uses lots of carbon or produces lots of pollution - we should pay the true cost of that product...since the market often doesn't get us to the true cost taxes could make up the difference - then the tax money collected could fund research for alternative fuels....Products to be taxed would include food since food often requires nitrogen fertilizer - and nitrogen fertilizer take a lot of energy to create. BTW, Americans aren't necessarily the fattest, but they do use the most energy per capita.

No. If they didn't charge so much for healthy food maybe people wouldn't be so fat in the first place.

haha.......
if that's the case, what about oil?

Isn't it funny that good food, I mean better quality food, has costs that are above average. This means that it costs more anymore to eat to stay at a healthy weight.

Maybe if we Americans would stop sending all our tax money to other people in other countries, maybe we could afford to buy healthy foods for ourselves!!!!!
