Why do Cheetos get hot when you chew them?!

Question: I felt with my finger, and it really was hotter than the rest of my mouth.

Answers: I felt with my finger, and it really was hotter than the rest of my mouth.

Chemical reactions can produce heat. There is probably something in your saliva that reacts with something in the Cheetos.

wow

you mean HOT CHEETOS!!!!!!

I didn't know that. But my best guess is the teeth smashing through a Cheeto causes friction, and the finger release rate does the same? Must be the cheesy salt.

u talkin bout flamin hot cheetos if not it dont get hot
