What is the yogurt product that has the beneficial bacteria that is supposed to help your digestive tract?!
Answers: There is two of them and I can't remember either one. It is supposed to help keep you regular.
Activia is the one that you are thinking of and really, they weren't the first ones to,"discover,"the good bacteria for your digestive system,Yoplait has been saying this for years,so it is nothing new. I have found that Yoplait is FAR SUPERIOR than any other yogurt out on the market including Activia or any other brand, and Yoplait tastes so much better too!
Plus,Yoplait offers low calorie yogurt,as well as other varieties that come in alot of different delicious flavors, and their yogurt is very affordable too! ;-)
Activa
The most common are L. acidophilus and B. bifidum
Lactobacillus Caucasus, Leuconostoc, Acetobacter species, and Streptococcus species.
Lactobacillus acidophilus or Bifidobacterium are the two common ones found in probiotic yogurt
I know that there is a drink called yakult... its does everything you mentioned though doesnt taste the best!!!
Dan active Smoothies... Activia Yogurts
This is discovered in the research done by ivillage.com
All yogurt has the beneficial bacteria you're talking about.
Activia is just the only one smart enough to market it to stupid people.
:D
Activia - Danactive - any yogurt with the active cultures in them will be beneficial in the long run. You can also buy capsules with the bacteria in them L. Acidopholis (sp?) for sure, and just take those if you don't want to eat the yogurt.
Vitagen and Yakult
Kefir is also very healthy. There are several that say "probiotics."
