Is it safe to eat a non cooked dessert with alcohol in it when pregnant?!

Question: I am pregnant and going to a friends house for xmas and she is making a dessert called Trifle. Anyway she is going to soak the cake in sherry the night before. Does anyone know if it is safe to eat an alcoholic dessert when pregnant?

no...

It's probably way too mild to have any effect, but keep in mind this kid will be taking care of you when you are in a nursing home so it's sort of an important thing you are doing.

If its not cooked you might as well have a glass of sherry tell your friend to freeze you a piece until you have the baby or she could make you another one and call it " Girls nite out!"

Just think of how it can affect the little one trying to grow into a healthy human. Then decide what you would do.

If you cannot think for yourself - that answer is no, don't ingest alcohol for any reason. Live clean and helpyour little one to be healthy and fully functional.
