If an apple has been in a plastic bag for 1 1/2 weeks is it safe to eat?!
Answers: Actually, I have had apple slices in a plastic bag in the "cooler" section of my refrigerator and they're still perfectly good- I snack on them frequently. All you need to do is take the apple out of the bag and cut it in half. If the color on the inside still looks good, chances are the apple is fine. If the apple tastes too mushy or too grainy, however, throw it out.
No
No. For the sake of your health, throw it out.
i wouldn't think so
Uh---Noooo.
if the apple is hard eat it - if it is soft throw it!
Yes, its safe hun. its in the fridge anyway =)
Is it mushy and brown? then toss it. If its hard and u cut it open and it still looks and smells fresh, go for it. Do you really think grocery stores toss out their produce after a few days? I doubt it.
Mary J. If the apple remains firm, not discolored upon cutting, and does not have apparent mold on it, then it is perfectly safe to eat. Remember that the stores have plastic bags of apples and other fruit sitting in their cold storage areas. A better way to store your fruit is to wrap it in a paper towel before storing in the crisper section of your refrigerator either in a bag or not. This will help to keep it fresher.
no throw away
