How often do you change the oil in your deep fryer?!

Question: I do each time I fry alot of chicken wings or fish. Is this excessive?

Answers: I do each time I fry alot of chicken wings or fish. Is this excessive?

depends on what your frying really, ideally you should change it after each use, but if you want to make it last, and you're only cooking things like chips which dont really taint the oil, at least change it after every 2 to 4 uses.....

Every third or forth use...

Drew Peterson changes it out after every wife he disposes of. Hmmm, what's that smell drew? What ya cookin?

every 3 uses

I don't think that's excessive.I would change the oil too. Otherwise the next item would taste like the meat. If I am just doing fries or onion rings, I leave the oil until it makes a pile of noise when I am frying.

Once every three months or when it starts looking a little too brown.

I do strain it every other time I fry! But I don't change it until it is really burnt looking.

every 6months or 2000 fry miles
whichever comes soonest

after every use i throw the oil out
