Is it possible to invent a flavor?!

Question: This is one that's been bouncing around in my head for awhile. I think it would be cool to invent a new flavor. I'm not talking about flavor mixing, i.e. banana-strawberry or kiwi-watermelon. I'm mean to actually invent a flavor that nobody has tasted. I also assume this will have to be an artificial flavor, because I'm sure all natural flavors have already been tasted.

Is this even possible or is this like inventing a new color. Is there a law of flavor that says there is a finite amount of tastes and we are just mixing them together?

Sky's the limit! I say go for it! Maybe your flavor will end up being the new chocolate and you'll become a millionare :-D

Good luck with the inventing!

yes of course

ya

well i dont think you can make a new color because theres only a certain amount of things you can do to the natural rainbow on the color spectrum but its totally possible to make a new flavor. chocolate is a popular flavor but the cocoa bean doesnt taste like chocolate at all until youve mixed it with sugar and stuff. ...same thing with caramal.corn syrup, sugar. a nwe color?....probably not a new flavor? definatley
