Food and cooking and eating out?!
Answers: I hate cooking, but i hate spending so much money to go out, anybody else feel like this?
Yes,I hate cooking too,but my family just raves about certain dishes that I make,so to make them happy,I will make things like spaghetti,lasagna,etc.. I have found that going out to eat costs a fortune and either it is food that has been sitting under a heating lamp for who knows how long,or it is good food, but it is so expensive.
I like to use a slow cooker because you don't have to stand over it cooking, and you can virtually make anything in a slow cooker such as roast, stews, soups, pork chops,etc... I also like to make casseroles in the oven because again, you just let them cook until they are done, and you don't have to monitor it over a hot stove constantly.
Of course I am single and that is the worst. Why I started a site so I could know the best options on going out.........www.menuvenueswfl.com
Do you have a slow cooker? The cooker comes with recipes and those are worth trying. It’s incredibly simple, many items have few ingredients and you can pop everything in in the morning and it’ll be waiting for you when you get home. Another easy thing is to pick up a rotisserie chicken- you can add to a salad or pasta or put in a burrito/ wrap. There’s quite a few good items in the frozen aisle too- it’s much cheaper than eating out- check out Kashi, Amy’s, Cedar Lane- good stuff. When I eat out I have to really watch what I get and limit my serving- tons of calories and extra fat grams.
