Does this sound like a healthy days worth of calories and nutrients? Just wondering. I am 17, 97 pounds, 5'3"!


Question: Breakfast- 7:30- whole grain cereal with 2 percent milk and fresh fruit

midmorning-coffee with a sprinkle of sugar and milk

Lunch: sandwich with 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of deli meat (ham or turkey), 1 slice of cheese; fresh fruit, vegetable such as a carrot

Dinner: meat of some sort (usually fish or chicken-sometimes on bread, starch such as rice or potatoes, vegetable

Snack: protein such as yogurt or lowfat icecream or a starch (such as 2 gram crackers with a teaspoon of peanut butter or a granola bar)

Also, my typical excercise routine includes walking my dog 2-3 times per day, toning for about 10 minutes (sit ups and leg excercises), and stretching. Sometimes I also play active games such as frisbee, badmitton, or hiking.

If you are worried that you are going to gain weight, you should not be concerned, it sounds like you are very thin. It also sounds as if you are eating foods that someone who was over weight may need to eat to slim down.

That sounds alright to me. It's a good thing you have a proper daily diet planned out and you aren't only taking in water and air.
