If cookies are put in ziploc bags, will they go stale?!
I don't want to freeze them.
Answers: I need to make cookies tomorrow for my friends and hand them out on Wednesday. If I make them and then seal them in a ziploc bag, will they be fine?
I don't want to freeze them.
try to squeeze out any air from the bag before you seal it and I think they will be fine. especially if they are crispier kinds of cookies to begin with.
yes they will be fine. just keep them in the fridge.
not if the ziploc bag is sealed tight.
They should be fine... if you want to be extra sure, put em into the fridge till then.
they'll be fine, but to keep them extra soft and chewy, put a slice or two of white bread in the bag also - the bread will turn kinda hard, and the cookies will have absorbed all of its moisture.
Also, if you can suck the air out of the zip lock bag before sealing it, you can guarantee they'll stay fresher longer.
I usually double zip-lock them and remove as much of the air as I can. But it does depend on the type of cookie as well so be careful.
get out a lot of the air and seal it tight and they will be fine.
P.S. If you have a food saver, vacuum packer, that's even better.... Good Luck
They will be fine until Wednesday.:)
Merry Christmas!
They should be fine until then, but they will go stale over time because of the air inside the bag. the only true way to keep them fresh is in air tight containers like the "FoodSaver".
