Answers: So iv'e been eating chicken for my whole life, I am 15 now, and im still ok with it, until I saw this YouTube video, showing how they kill KFC Chicken, and it was horrible, they took the beeks off, they stomped on it, and I can imagine how they killed chicken to put in the super market, its all so harrible, and now I think its discustin to eat chicken, my mom brought home one of my fav pathmark chickens today, and I thought it was so discusting and horrible, now I don't want to eat chicken anymore. What Should I do? Can this go on forever?

Yes, I like chicken. Once the animal is dead I guess it doesn't matter how rough they are with it because animals do not have souls, or so I believe. Don't get me wrong I am totally against animal abuse, even if it was to a chicken. I raised chickns once, I even tried to cut one of thems head off but I couldn't. Instead I stood there and cried. I mean, it doesn't matter with us, as humans, how we are treated after we die. It isn't like we are still living and can feel what is happening. Once I am dead what do I care? Well, I feel the same with a chicken. :) Oh, but if it makes you feel better, I haven't ate chicken in about 3 months.
Well I might just now thanks for that. There's goes my main source of protein.

Pity we don't gather our own food these days. People are shocked at the smallest of things these days. Did you think that chicken came from a nice, clean plant and was never a living breathing animal?

It's normal. I don't eat meat anymore due to that. I'm 100% vegan. They can't kill it anymore horribly than they do now. Don't eat meat.

Fransico,You have to understand that when you eat meat; something has to die first. Whether it's a cow or a pig or a chicken or a lamb or a fish; it had to die before you ate it. You know what you can do? Get an Amish raised chicken if you want...you can go see em running around, they don't raise them like that trust me. And where i live there the best chickens you can buy. There huge too almost like a turkey!

I think they are far too humane to chickens. You would too if you really hated them.
I neither condemn or defend the eating of animals as a source of protein. When I hunt or fish I take responsibility for despatching my catch as humanely as possible.
Intensive farming of livestock can be inhumane, but can be avoided, provided we are prepared to pay more for our meat, poultry etc. and possibly reap the health benefits for ourselves too.
I'm totally against killing any animal for sport,cosmetic product testing,and with advances in medical science
im not convinced there is still a need for vivisection<(horrible nasty word)and also inhumane conditions

what im totally for is the humane killing of any animal in clean sanitary conditions with the least amount of distress caused to the animal if it is part of a countrys staple diet,and it feeds people

The first and last time I had KFC. I had food poisoning. That was 15 years ago and have never touched it since. I have never been so violently ill before - it was dreadful.
Having said that, I still like chicken - but to buy and cook it myself I know exactly what I'm eating. My golden rule never fails me:

i'm not looking, we would never eat anything if we thought too much. i think it's awful the way some people treat them tho. just think about it, most people who work at these factories are not that bright. i'm not calling everyone but i used to know a few people who worked in a chicken factory when they left school.
Fish is also killed, and cows and even crabs, they all die to become our food. If you think it's disgusting, don't eat chicken or whatever, but when you feel like eating meat again, don't feel ashamed of yourself because there's no big tragedy in it. A more serious tragedy is the fact that people kill people.
OH HOW GROSS, I JUST COULDNT EAT ANY POULTRY NOW. LOOKS LIKE ITS THE CHOCOLATE DIET FROM NOW ON!
