I've never seen one but I have heard that dessert auctions are popular.
Our club has had a lot of success with theme tables. Each table picks a different theme and decorates. There is a theme related favor for each person and a theme related centerpiece that is won by someone at the table. Some ideas are garden, holidays, favorite things, To raise even more money you could auction off gift baskets, again related to diffent themes (movie night, bath items, resturant vouchers, etc)
