Are cheese wontons and crab rangoon the same thing?!

Question: They taste the same to me.........are they different names for the same thing?

I am eating some cheese wontons and sushi now for dinner. ;)

Thanks!

It depends on the restaurant really. I think crab rangoon are just fried wonton wrappers with cream cheese and crab meat plus some spices. Cheese wontons are the same thing basically but without the crab, at least at all the chinese places I've gotten them at.
The restaurant may put crab in them but not mention it in the name of the dish, or you may be used to crab rangoon without much crab in it, so they taste pretty similar.

Mmmmm cheese wontons lol - yummy. Anyway they're basically the same concept however I think the rangoon is a bit different since it's not an actual won ton (which are very very thin and can be steamed or fried), like I said same concept, but different taste. xoxo

NO.. they are anything BUT the same thing... you must have the tastebuds of a goat... I dont know how you can not tell the difference... all that McDonalds will do that to tastebuds, you know.
