Can you use frozen strawberries for chocolate fondue?!

Question: Of course I'd thaw them out first but, does it get too messy?

I'm using frozen because I can't find any GOOD fresh ones this time of year

In all honesty, I don't think the frozen strawberries will work that well with fondue. Since they are frozen, they have a tendency to be a bit mushy. You want a firm strawberry, not one that has been frozen and thawed out.

Honestly, they don't really work for chocolate fondue.
I would use the long stem strawberries that are certainly more expensive, but they are the best option for chocolate fondue.

yes, you can. But I'd put them firmly onto a fork rather than the fondue skewers - they'll probably slip off otherwise!

Frozen whole strawberries are MUSH

When you thaw out frozen strawberries they are still kind of mushy. Just don't get the ones that are in syrupy stuff.
