Why did my Fage yogurt suggested "Do Not Stir"?!

Question: I can't eat any yogurt plain since I'm actually not crazy about the taste of milk or cream on its own, so I always get the ones with fruit in it. I'm in love with Fage due to its texture and richness... and I was a bit puzzled by its serving suggestion. On the container, it said "Please Do Not Stir", and I'm wondering why that is? Does stirring the yogurt somehow alter the properties or taste of the yogurt? I want to mix some of my own fruit into the yogurt, but can't figure out how to do that without stirring.
