Have you been overcharged?!
A lot of the time its because they charge you double for bogof items or just dont take the discount off special offers.
Is this another rip off scam? I now make sure I check everything before I leave the store
Answers: I have been to Tesco and Morrisons four timesrecently and been overcharged in both stores, not by pennies but pounds!

Yes. It appears to be common practice. Both myself and a friend have had our bill overcharged by at least £5 at different Supermarkets.I only got caught once, they don't do it twice!
Yeah.
I called a Sex-Line on the phone.
All she said was "Oooh, not up there" and put the phone down..........
It cost me £2.50.
Didnt even have time to get the Tissues out and me Trousers down..........
Yes, for sure...........
I think everyone has been overcharged at one time or another. It just happens.
it happened to me a lot!!! ....it's better to check before u leave .
In general it is always best to check your till receipt before leaving the store. When they start this promotions in stores the are supposed to input the BOGOF items into the system so it automatically comes off at check out. As the bigger stores have lots more items to adjust their is a higher chance of some getting overlooked and missing the system. If its not on the system it doesn't come off at the check out point. I don't think they are trying to rip people off but do feel they should do promotions more effeciently. Keep checking your receipts!!
It never seems to happen the other way round does it?
I haven't been overcharged recently, but it feels like it sometimes!
Overcharging happens sometimes, even more so at a time of year when the lads and lasses at the checkouts are not concentrating on their job.
It's always a good idea to check before you leave the store anyway, or at least have some idea what your bill will come to.
On the odd occasion when I have obviously been overcharged I've gone back to the shop, explained where I think the error is, and have received a repayment.
I think I get a better response by being polite and not making a fuss, but then that's the way I handle things.
Mistakes happen sometimes.
BTW it DOES sometimes happen the other way round. It's seldom noticed because we train our alarm bells to ring when mistakes are not to our benefit, and who would go running back to the shop to tell them they've undercharged.
