Answers: My mate is going to be in a very cold place and is unsure if meths will freeze

no meths doesnt freeze at zero. it goes thicker at about -90 and freezes into a waxy substance at -130, which still burns! Bonus!

alcohol stoves are really a pain in below freezing temp you might get away with it if its zero C but if its zero F your better off with a white gas stove.

The freezing point is -117 degrees Celsius, so I doubt that wherever your friend goes it'll be THAT cold.

I assume your matey uses that stuff as a burning agent. Be VERY careful as it is highly flammable. It's burning point is around +65 degrees Celsius therefore even a warmed item or anything heated and cooling down can still be able to ignite methylated spirits or its residues (for example a lighter, that has been lit, but turned of, is still hot enough to ignite meth. spirits)!!

No it doesn't freeze.

But there's plenty to eat at Iceland!
