Peanut butter and celery/apples
Trail mix
Granola bars
Chips & Salsa
Fortified Smoothies
Salt is not good for you in large amounts.
Your ideas are good though. Low salt is the key. High protein and carbs as long as you can burn them quickly.
hot dog sausgaes hot or cold
Cheese and crackers
Animal Crackers
Yogurt
Trail Mix
Cheese cubes
Peanut butter on toast
Jello Gelatin
Pudding
I love cereal/granola bars. They come in a whole bunch of flavours, so you can get them with different fruits, or nuts, or both. You can even get them dipped in chocolate or yogurt (although these ones are less healthy). They do differ in size a bit, but they're usually about 100-150 calories per bar.
how about popcorn, yogurt, milk with cereal, toast with butter or jam, Granola bars, oatmeal with brown sugar, salsa on a baked potato or with pita bread, hummus and pita
i find almonds and cashews to be flavorful enough without any extra salt, plus if you work out they give you lots of energy.
hmmm, as far as salting them, i guess look at it this way. if youre simply not going to end up eating them without salt, then id get the salted ones. salted peanuts are still a million times better than chips or whatever else that already prolly has 3 times the salt of the nuts. if you can find nuts you enjoy without salt, do it up.
trail mix is good to munch, basically just nuts n fruit.
i dont know if they have them where you live, but there are these crackery flat bread type things called ryvita, its like a swedish flatbread thing, im sure you can find a similar brand near you. they are easy and very healthy. you can put whatever you want on them.
they are like big square crackers.
its hard to get something tastey but healthy. the nuts and dried fruit of trailmix is prolly your best bet. the dried pinapple chunks are awsome.
throw some coconut in there too, or you coudl buy a coconut and make your own chunks. poke a hoile in one of the 3 holes at the top, drink out the coconut water inside, them wrap the thing in a towel and smash in on the side of the house. presto, chunks of coconut.
trail mix, wheat thins, popcorn, peanut butter, [take a plastic spoon]
Hummus with pita chips
