I just ran my tap and it came out white. as white as milk. why is the water like this?!

The white is air incorperated into the water. When the water settles most of the air escapes and leaves bigger bubbles, the water starts loooking clear then. If you let that stand a while longer the little bubbles will dissappear as well.
Nothing is wrong with your water, no worries.
Air in the water.
Never never trust any water you cannot see! If it is clear, you should not drink it!!
It is the aeration in the water on the calcium in it that shows white!!! It is just fine to drink, even if it does look funny. Don't worry! At least it clears in less than 30 minutes and doesn't smell like sulfur!! or rotten eggs!
