How much does ten pounds of potatoes cost these days (for?!

Question: I don't know where you are but I am in Mississauga, On, Canada and this week I paid

$2.99 for 10 lbs of Yukon Gold
$5.98 for 10 lbs of Russet baking potatoes

I can buy them for less at a couple of cut rate markets but I find they are older potatoes and don't keep well.

I don't go through a lot of potatoes but I cannot afford throwing out old soft potatoes when I can get newer potatoes that will last a couple of weeks longer.

It may not be as cheap as other stores but it is surely more economical.

Don't you use potatoes or are you doing a survey? Curious question.

  • $4.99...:)

    Merry Christmas!

In my neck of the woods, they average around $4.00 this time of year. Usually cheaper in late summer. Last week I bought two ten pound bags on sale at Bi-Lo for $1.99 each! That was a bargain.

I live in MI. We have a vegetable market called Joe Randajoes. There, 10 lbs. of Idaho Potato bag varies from $2.99 to $4.29.

Other potatoes like White ones they are 3lbs for $1.00

About 3-5 bux, depending where you go.

Russet potatoes are $4.99 in Connecticut

in my area about 5 dollars. i have a co-worker from another state that is poor, its initials are wv. he asks me when i plant my potatos and i say they are 5 bucks a bag i don`t plant potatoes.

Well this week at Kroger you can get 10 lbs for $ 3.99 or for extra 50 cents you can get 15 lbs.....makes you wonder doesn't it?....lol

It varies really by the time of year, but i'd say never more than $5 in the summer sometimes you can get a 10pound bag for $1

In Ca. i usually get 3 pounds for a dollar thats in a mexican market though prices vary depending on the store

    bought a bag for $ 1.00 / hope you got a food 4 less

    $4. 25 at Costco

I bought a 10 lb of very nice Russett potatoes at Kroger last week, and paid about $2.29 for it. I live in the midwest.
