YES.

"Coca-cola was introduced in 1886 as "a valuable brain-tonic and cure for all nervous afflictions". Coca-cola was promoted as a temperance drink "offering the virtues of coca without the vices of alcohol". The new beverage was invigorating and popular. Until 1903, a typical serving contained around 60mg of cocaine. Sold today, it still contains an extract of coca-leaves. The Coca-Cola Company imports eight tons from South America each year. Nowadays the leaves are used only for flavouring since the drug has been removed."

yeah, I'm pretty sure it did...

Yup, that's why they called it coca-cola because it had a small amount of cocaine in it.

Yes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola

Thats a great rumor the company denys it now but back then there was a reason it was called "Coke" a-cola

So i've heard.

Maybe thats why so many kids back then had rotten teeth. It wasn't because of the unknown dangers that soda did to your teeth,it was because of the cocaine!

Yes. But you have to understand, it was a different time, and it was minute amounts. Not enough to get high like people snort today.

Yes, just like their is prune juice in Dr. Pepper

cocaine and heroine used to be put in all kinds of products in the past. heroine was mainly for headache medicine. same with cocaine. used for a lot of medical reasons.

Yes, it did, but a very small amount to make people buy more of the product. This by no means makes putting any amount of drugs into anything ok at all.

I've always heard this story but i don't know if it's true
