I was wondering this about Reese's Pieces?!

Question: I happened to find a bag of Reese's pieces in the upstairs vending machine; and as I was walking back to my workplace, I asked a friend if he wanted a Reesey Piecy.

Then we started thinking about it, and I was wondering if the single of Reese's pieces really is Reesey Piecy. Normally I would think it was Reese's Piece, but I've only ever heard people refer to it as a Reesey Piecy. I've even heard English teachers call it that, and I've never heard anyone correct anyone else for calling it a Reesey Piecy.

So, is the single form of Reese's Pieces said as Reese's Piece, or Reesey Piecy?

And yes, I have nothing to do right now. So I thought I'd get paid to find out about Reese's Pieces.

In regards to the first two responders :P*** It's a cute question, no need to be rude about it!! Anyway, I agree with the third responder in that grammatically it should be a Reese's Piece....however, I am in complete agreeance with with you that EVERYONE from the Pope to the President to the guy at the gas station down the street says it exactly how you did! "Would YOU like a Reesey Piecey?!?" :) You know, if you really wanted to take this high up, you could always get ahold of the company and make up something lame like you're writing a book or whatever and need to know THEIR technical term for a single bite sized piece of goodness. ;) LOL. Have a good one man.

Who cares, worry about something that matters...

What ever it truly doesnt matter

well, technically and in all grammatical correctness, i guess it would have to be a Reese's Piece...
but it's candy for crying out loud so who cares, call it what you wish!

I respectfully disagree. It would still be called a "Reese's Pieces" because that is it's trademark name and not exactly refering to just a collection of "candies".

I could be totally wrong but just my two cents. The others above me have made good cases as well.

Now I'm confused because I call a single "Pringle's" chip a "Pringle". Same principle....hmmm
