Answers: What are the benefits of this fruit and does it have another name?

we have a lot of this fruit in Philippines its really very delicious and according to one of the study in our country its good for a cancer patient its is proven by the cancer patient and sold as a juice

Yes, they are sold in England. I am pretty sure you can get them at the market in Harrod's.

If you go onto Wikipedia with Mangosteen it tells you all about it....its a so called Superfruit...I don't intend to cut and paste it all....thats something new I have learned today..thanks.
Not sure where you can buy one from...maybe an ethnic vegetable shop somewhere.

You should be able to get it in an Asian grocery.

I don't know what its health benefits are but I eat it anyway because it tastes really good. It's sweet and juicy but you only get a little pulp per fruit. The whole purple stuff is inedible. It's like cracking open a soft coconut...lol.

Mangosteens are delicious. Really delicious, probably one of my fave fruits. If you cant get them in england thats one more reason to leave this freezing cold dark boring little island. Ive never seen them here.

snapple has a new juice out thats peach and mangosteen and it has the history of the fruit on the label. I never drink juice but im obsessed with this drink. you have to try it

i have heard of them and they are a fruit. you can get them at asian grocers .
