A candy decorating dilemma, help please?!

Question: I have been decorating oreo cookies with snowmen faces, with white chocolate as the background, mini choc. chips as eyes, and orange fondant for carrot noses. I painted black mouths on with Wilton's candy color, the oil kind. Now they don't dry, so if I don't pick them up by the edge, and I touch the black mouth, I get smudges on the white chocolate. Not good since I want to give as Xmas gifts. Any of you candy and cake decorators out there in cyberland had this problem and know what to do? I could sure use some suggestions quickly, like right now, please!!!! Thanks ever so much. Happy Holidays to all.

I think that you can put your oreos cookies in the refrigerator, or try with this royal icing because it's get hard:
royal icing
3 1/4 cups (or more) powdered sugar, sifted
2 large egg whites
1 teaspoon strained fresh lemon juice
Assorted food colorings (optional)

Servings: Makes about 2 cups

IngredientsUsing electric mixer, beat 3 1/4 cups powdered sugar and egg whites until thick and shiny, adding more powdered sugar by tablespoonfuls if mixture is too thin to spread, about 3 minutes. Add lemon juice. Divide icing into portions, if desired, and add different food coloring to each. Cover until ready to use.

i have it on good authority (daughter in law) make a blk frosting
