If a customer decides to cancel her main course because she is full, is she still obligated to pay for it?!
Answers: I think the key point here is her timing. If she wants to cancel before the meal has been cooked for her , then I think the restaurant can cancel with no charge. However, if her meal has been cooked and is on her way , she should assume the charge as she ordered it.
I would have to say yes because she did order it and therefore she should have to pay for the main course even if she was too full to eat it!
If she canceled it before it was brought to the table, then no.
It it's still in the kitchen and able to be used for another customer, then no.
if she ordered it then it's her obligation to pay for it.
She ordered it! She should definitely pay for it, especially if it's already cooked! There's been times I'm too full from appetizers, so I just take a nibble and take the rest home. If anything, offer her a "to go" container, and mention how good a lunch it will make for her tomorrow!
