Why is a round pizza put in a square box?!

Question: So you have the corners of the box free from pizza to get your hand in the box to pull out a slice of pie/pizza. 99% of people pull the first slice from a corner where the box corner is free from pizza. Herbert West III, Publisher/Journalist. www.wen2k.com

idk BUT they do have square pizzas like at dominos!

Because....if the pizza was square, it wouldn't be able to fit in the round box..life philosophy here...lol

so the boxes can fit properly without moving around....however i think the pizza would end up moving around...get a square pizza!

Because a square pizza in a round box would make even less sense..

It's easier to manufacture/assemble square boxes than round ones and easier to make round pizza than square pizza.

so it won't slide as much in the car :)

They don't make round boxes..

so if you drop it , it wont roll away

the box is easier to fold into than a circle. If they had a circle box, then they would probably need a two piece in order to box the pizza. With the square box, it is easier to just fold down.

humm-ive always wondered that too-maybe because it would be too artificial for a round pizza to be in a round box....
