Have you shopped till you dropped this year? My local store has every customer pushing it must be 4 trolleys?!

Question: Has a famine about to hit Britain and where on earth does all the food go. Even up here in the frozen North the shops will open the next day. Or am I an old Scrooge? I love all the lovely munchies, but I am just inquisitive even allowing for ageing relatives and aunties they don't eat a lot or do they? Anyway they seem to be buying just as much!

yea but my brother has to do it all over again, they got drunk yesterday, woke up today thinking it's christmas eve and start cooking everythink!

And we'll do it again after Christmas because everything will be reduced.

nah.................. just ready turkey meal

yes everyone is going mad! i work in my local ASDA store on the checkouts and we have had queues 6-7 people deep on 30 checkouts and over half have more than one trolley. sadly due to the shifts that me and hubby work around kids when i finish work at 11pm the shelves are mainly empty so as of yet i have not even managed my normal fortnightly shop. people go mad, many pay on credit cards and stock up for a month or 2 when the shops are closed for just 2 days

I think it is the time of year and everyone is getting ready for the big Day Christmas

On-Line

i think it is stupid the way people are buying. i went asda on thursday and i was convinced we were in for a siege the way people were buying ! i have to on christmas eve to get some veg, bread and milk to last until the 27th and i am dreading going in . i have prepared by buying little extras such as chocolates, booze and goodies each week and stashing them so i don't have to do what the majority are doing by panic buying.
