Melt a stick of butter, throw in some onions, slice up the heart and fry up. Toward the end when the butter has cooked off, throw in at least a 1/2 lb bacon and finish frying.

Deer Heart Hoagies
1 lb. Fresh mushrooms
1 onion sliced thin
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbs. margarine
2 Hoagy buns, split
Swiss cheese slices

Saute heart slices, onion, garlic and mushrooms in a large pan on Med. heat until the heart is med. rare. Do not over cook! Arrange buns open faced on a cooking sheet. Spread meat mixture on top of buns and add cheese slices on top. Bake at 350 until cheese melts.

PASTA!!!!

Tom, I wish I could help you. I hate liver too. When I was a kid and my mom would make liver she would tell my sis and I that we were eating Chicken w/ Brown Gravy. We never fell for it.
I hope you can make something yummy.
Merry Christmas!!!!!

Depends on the canned veggies... If you have corn and green beans I recommend the liver. Take a little flour with a little salt and pepper. Cut the liver as thin as you can, and coat in the flour salt pepper mix. put a little oil and butter in the bottom of a skillet and put on medium-low heat. fry the liver untill it stops sizzling. cutting it thin will reduce the flavor down to essentially very tender steak. after you get the liver cooked add a little milk to the pan (cover the bottom with about a quarter inch), add veggies and sprinkle a little of the flower. Mix untill it starts to get a little thick. Salt and pepper the gravy part of it to taste. When it's the thickness you want it as far as the gravy, it's good over a slice of bread or two (toast if you're feeling fancy) and then sprinkle chedder or cojack cheese over it.
