I have heard about preserved, candies mango in Chinese cooking; anyone know where I can get some to try?!
Answers: Hustville, NSW, Australia. It's a suburb of Sydney with the best yum cha in the country. You can pick up dried Mangos, fresh mango and mango chutney. Hell, I will even throw in a mango daiquiri.
sure you can go to any one of their food stores or even in most food stores just go in and ask if they have it and if not then your best bet would be their stores where you know for sure you will find them.
hmm.. i'm not sure if i exactly know what you're talking about. i've tried pickled mangos, that come from asian places.. and they're fxing gooood ahaha. but they sell those in jars too, but i'm not sure if they're just as good as the ones i've tried. the only thing else i know is like dried mangos with sugar on it, that i've gotten at grocery stores.. otherwise, you might find a recipe to make it online, or maybe there might be a place on the internet that might sell a jar, but i doubt it. good luck. xD
They are actually dried mango slices, found either in pre-packed sections for dried fruits or snacks. Sold in most Asian supermarkets.
right between the nuts and the dried pineapple/prunes/raisins at the supermarket.
This is a hard one to find online. You would have to go in person to any authentic Asian store in your area. Try the 99 Ranch Stores (use store locator):

Or you can go to the old school Chinatown past downtown LA and Dodger Stadium:
