Diet Question... easy foods to prepare / eat?!

Question: Hello,

I am going to be starting a diet on New Year's Day and I need an easy-to-prepare menu to do this. I am going to eat a lot of soup as it is low in calories and filling. I also plan to eat a lot of fruits and veggies. What other foods do you suggest?

Also, where can I buy pre-cooked chicken? I'd prefer either breasts or diced.

Thanks!

It's a good idea to keep some healthy snacks around. I like yogurt, nuts, edamame (buy frozen & then steam when you want it), raw veggies, fresh fruit...things like that. I don't buy precooked chicken but I know Tyson makes some, as I'm sure do other companies - that's in the frozen foods section. Or you can buy the rotisserie chickens at the deli area, but those are whole chickens. Soups are a great idea, but be sure to keep them varied so you don't get bored! I love all different kinds of soups - think beans, wild rice, lentil, whole grain pasta, and such. It's good to keep whole grain pasta, beans, rice and such on hand for quick dinners, too - along with canned tomatoes, tuna, salmon, and things that you can throw together quickly. Good luck to you!

You should eat salad with fresh vegetables and tomatoes. Don't add too many high calories--fatty dressing like mayonise or thousand island. Mixed them with olive oli, or something like that. Other good menu is veggie stuff, like pork, chicken, etc. They taste like the real meat, but it's actually made out of other nutrition stuff that are healthy too. You could buy those at a big market place called Lax-C. It's in downtown L.A.

A Little Advise:
There's a tea called China Slim Tea that will surely help with your dieting. It's a herbal tea, and you could add some honey to sweeten it.
