How do vegetarians get so tubby?!

Question: Tubby vegetarians.

Answers: Tubby vegetarians.

The can still eat plenty of carbs. Did you know Meat Loaf is a vegetarian.

because most of the vegetarians food are very starchy

Too many carbs.

by eating chocolate, chips, and all the other junk food you can think of..

Yer I thought that aswell,strange :^)

over indulging in smugness and lapping up there smelly farts !

Eating red meat.

I'm a vegetarian.
I'm skinny.

And I've seen a bunch of fatties that eat meat.
GROSS.

They are so FAATTTT!

flour and sugar is all it takes to get this way...and that is all they take in

because they eat other fat **** like chips and candy... just cause they dont eat meat doesnt mean they dont eat bad **** :)

for a dinner they would have 45 kilos of mixed veg

because the are tubby

they eat more than they should. how does anyone get tubby?they eat more calories than they burn. If a vegetarian eats 5000 calories a day and a non-veg eats 5000 but is an athlete the non veg is going to be skinner. Just because your a veg doesn't mean your going to be skinny.

I am a vegetarian and that's not true.

I think it must be be all those grains and wheat things that they eat, millions of carbs.................

Because they are not eating enough protein so they keep getting hungry and eat large quantities. Even vegetarians have to balance their diet.

If you eat enough you will get fat.

same way other people do - they eat too much and don't exercise enough

oh my dear people please don't get all angry with each other and stop the name calling

they dont get the protien they need from meat

Tofu makes you retain water

I have never known an overweight vegetarian. All the vegetarians that I know are the correct weight for their height/build.
The vegetarian diet is not generally a fatty diet - veg, fruit, pulses are not fatty and where there is fat, it is mostly un-saturated fat, i.e. healthy essential fat rather than weight-gaining.

But I guess it's the same for anyone whether meat eater or vegetarian - if you eat excessive fatty foods like chocolate, cheese, crisps, chips, you will put on weight. However, as a large proportion of fat is found in red meat, a meat eater is far more likely to be over-weight. If you eat meat, it's best to stick to leaner products like chicken and fish.

Just like cows

too much pasta,potatoes,rice,bread,pastry etc

If they are eating simple carbs, and a lot of calories they won't be thin. Complex carbohydrates, and lean meats are the way to go.

Just because you're vegetarian, doesn't mean you are automatically a healthy eater.
