Why is Tesco selling Easter Eggs already!!! - it really has annoyed me?!
Answers: Because they have no concept that we dont want the festive holidays shoved in our faces for months before they happen. Its all just money money money.

Are they really? I haven't had my birthday yet, and that's only 2 weeks away! The shops should be full of gifts for me and big flashing arrows for people like my Dad who never know what to get! Hehe. That is ridiculous! Easter Eggs? It isnt even 2008 yet!

commercialism at its worst - the price of flowers will go up over the next 6 weeks (valentines day) and children will be targeted and be brainwashed into believing that if they dont spend as much money as the can on their mums they will not be loved when what us mums would rather have is a cup of tea in bed and a day with the kids(mothers day) and i still dont get the connection between chocolate and easter. Sorry - on my soapbox again
I know what you mean - hardly one holiday passes and they are already 2 holidays ahead. I already got all my Valentines gifts and St Pats stuff on early bird special.

It wouldn't surprise me at all as Halloween stuff is already out by the end of July,not kidding! I remember when we had time to celebrate the holidays and now every company is out for a profit to see who can get their Easter,Valentines,or Halloween stuff out first!

Already ? Girl, I went to my local Tesco a week before Xmas and they had a shelve full of Easter eggs, bunnies, chicks and so on.
I think someone understood the idea of xmas as a collective Christian "do it all at once" :o)
Where? Honestly? Well there are people on low incomes that have to start saving for Easter already. Sad as it sounds people cant afford Easter Eggs in some homes so this gives them a chance. Its the same with Park Hampers, if it wasnt for them people wouldnt be able to afford christmas presents. Tescos logo.... Every little helps may just be doing this to millions of people.
It's called RETAIL.All retail businesses are one season ahead.Go to any department store and see all the winter stuff on clearance and spring fashion are on the racks.Alot of people buy one season ahead too to get all the things they need without the fear that it will be gone by the time they need it.Where have you been? it's been this way forever.

A few months back they were selling mince pies that went out of date on the 23rd dec 07.
I guess if people want to eat the items then consumers will by it, if no one bought it they wouldnt stock them ahead of the conventional time frame.
Ugh! I know what you mean! My uncle works at walmart, and I asked him about this mess! He said that some people had asked the store to stock up on Easter stuff early so they can set up. But why so far in advance you may ask? He said that some customers complain about not having Easter items in stock early enough! How weird! But i guess some people buy the stuff early on sale, rather than buying them while in season and full price.
