Answers: I am Muslim and just wondering how many actually know what halal is. People seem to know what kosher is so lets see..

It is Islamic Kosher. I don't know for certain if it restricts the cuts of meat that are edible, but it does require that the animal be bled out before death.

it is food that is not prohibited to be eaten by the Muslims...the food can be marked halal if the food has been slaughtered ,I mean..prepared the way it is prescribed by the Qu'ran or the Hadiths...

halal food is:
1) meats that are slaughtered by the name of allah
2) UNharmable for health/edible
3)animals that are not forbidden in quran and hadith.
Halal is the way meat is slaughtered so that Muslims can eat it.
