It isn't HORRIBLE. It isn't like you will die, but you can get a little bit sick.

It increases the risk of Salmonella.

i eat raw eggs all the time , but i won't always be lucky , my uncle had a section of his intestine removed last year from an egg related issue. the egg was not good.

well...if it isn't cooked properly then the bacteria that live inside it, possibly salmonella, don't die so you could be infected if the eggs were of a low quality

Raw egges are highly recommend for consumption as a way of making sure you get high quality protein and fats into your diet.

Heating the egg protein actually changes its chemical shape, and it is this change in the protein structure which can easily be a cause of allergies. The heating also destroys many of the nutrients and proteins found inside the egg.

Although the taste might be a reason of turn offs!!

For the most part no. But with anything poultry you always run the risk of getting salmonella poisoning. You don't want that. It can kill you and if it don't, it can mess up your nervous system. Usually, If the eggs are good eggs and are fresh you shouldn't have to worry.
I have eaten completely raw eggs in the past and never even got a gut ache.

If you buy them in a grocery and they are USDA graded you can eat them raw if you wish..
The hens are vaccinated and heath inspectors are monitoring production..
any denigration is a falsehood..and personal food fear is just childish nonsense.
Only fear Free Range... because growers "Really" can not guarantee what they eat..

Raw eggs are safe if consumed immediately.
Salmonella takes 4 hours to grow.
Poultry is a source of salmonella but so is produce.
Our worst outbreaks here lately were from strawberries and spinach.

Yes- that's eating salmonella
Salmonella is a genus of rod-shaped Gram-negative enterobacteria that causes typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, and foodborne illness.[1] Salmonella species are motile and produce hydrogen sulfide.[2]

my uncle does it all the time theres nothing wronge with him
but he mixes the raw eggs with cold milk.
