Oh NO!!!!!!! Uh....run water over it!! But it'll be too slippery to open with your bare hands then, so use a towl to open it!!

omg i found this site that'll tell you wat to do!!

http://www.ehow.com/how_116031_open-stuc...

I hope it works!!!!

Elastic band around the lid and twist.

Smash it and eat pieces of broken glass with it.

if the lid is metal put it under hot water.

get some muscles!!xD

just try again and again, it will open after some time......

try a rubber washing up glove, or tap the lid on a hard surface (so the lid turns in a anticlockwise direction) or just buy another its cheap enough

hit it with a hammer

HAVE SOMETHING ELSE

use a knife
ask your neighbor to open it for you
:)

Get a butter knife and cut around the lid, if you know what I mean, u know those little bits that hold the lid on, well cut them with the knife. Be careful, it might slip.

Tap the lid lightly on the counter, or use the handle of a butter knife and go around the edges, 360 deg. It should open easily.
Or , I have a big pair of channel locks. Works like a charm.

Ask a REAL man to do it.

Oooooh that's soooo frustrating!! I don't know why someone doesn't invent a foolproof way of getting lids off jars!!

Have you tried running the lid under hot water for a few seconds, drying the jar, and then trying? That usually works for me.

Good luck!!

Dip the lid (upside down the jar) in a bowl of hot water for a few moments.

You can try using a wet wash rag to open it. or hit it with a knife to break open the seal. or ask someone who is stronger to open it for you.

Get another jar or smash it with sledgehammer.

Terrible INDEED!!!

Well, its not only PEANUT BUTTER Jar lids that are hard to take off. Anyway, try these:
1. Hold the jar upside down and tap the bottom with one big "THUD". This would actually move the air molecules inside the jar and would help push the lid off easier.

2. Using a hard, sharp pointed knife or can opener, bore a small hole on the lid itself. This would suck up the "VACUUM" trapped inside the jar which makes the lid cling tighter. Once the air comes inside through that hole, you can easily open the lid.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Put the whole jar in the freezer overnight.
In the morning you will have such a hangover you will forget where the jar is.................
A few days later when looking for the frozen peas you will come across the jar. Wipe off the seman and you will be able to open the lid first time....................

try a jar of jam, instead

bang the edge of the lid off the kitchen counter -- it should now come off easily

weakling

This happened to me too, last week...I am sorry, but you are going to have to start blending peanut butter by hand...or get fitted with a robotic arm to open the jar (Mine is shiny red!)

Another hint -if you don't need that hand for anything...pour Gorilla glue on your palm and grab the top to the peanut butter jar....wait 24 hours for the glue to dry, then twist the top with your glued hand....I hope that helps

ask your mum to do it lol

Hi, Peirce the top of the lid to let air get into it.

Give it to the woman in the house - she will be able to do it!

ho no this is a disaster call the police call the fire brigade call the ambulance service call the coastgaurd call the aa call anybody this is going to ruin you're new year

Carefully slide a knife under the seals in the underside of the lid - the bits that stick out a bit - and gently prize away from the sides of the jar - this will let air in and you can open it then. Works for me every time.

omg this is a catastrophe! have u managed to open it yet? i mean its not like u have anything else to eat in ur house nor have the money to buy another one..... good grief!!!

Troll.
