What fruit is this?!


Question: It is smaller than a cherry and is orange and has a tart taste. It is encased in dry leaves that look like a closed tulip. My grandmother calls the leaves Chinese lanterns and uses them in pot pourri. I don't think the fruit has a stone.

Sounds like a variation of the Tomatillo
