What would be healthier? If I ate wild alaskan salmon straight from the can or fryed it up in a pan?!

Question: would it make any difference? Would it be healthier to eat it straight from the can?

It would be healthier eating straight from the tin. If you fry it up (can't imagine frying tinned salmon) then you will be adding fats.

Happy New Year.

I open a tin of red cohoe salmon every week, toss the skin and crush the bones & eat on a sandwich with only a slice of onion, red or white, 2 slices Report It

bread and butter, nothing else, no pickles, mayo. I have it for lunch maybe on a Monday and again on Thursday with hot tea with milk & sugar. Report It

  • frying would be adding fat so i would heat it from the can

    like tuna either way

it would be healthier if u only ate fish you caught yourself.--all other fish was dead a long time before it was processed. And anything in a can is cooked by the mfgr in that can its put in raw.its full of bacteria BEFORE IT WAS COOKED.IT WAS putrid and disgusting and you will have never ate it if you saw what the fish is like before they cooked it.

If you did not add any butter or oil to the pan and just used the heat to cook or warm up the fish then it really doesn't matter a whole lot. But it is healthier to eat it out of the can.

None - I hate the over rated cr@p - UGH !!! all of it is disgusting. The colour reminds me of my grandmothers bloomers.

The smell when it's cooking, - however fresh is insipid.

    From a can it's disgusting.

I wish you a very Happy New Year............xxx

Frying can neutralize some of the beneficial nutrients. If is canned salmon as you indicated, eat it out of the can.

    grilled
