What is "takoyaki" made off?!

Question: Well they are one of my favourite Japanese street food, the one person had it mostly covered, they are what in the western would called a fritter, they combine octopus, a batter made with rice flours, seasonings and are fried in a stove top or electric Takoyaki pan, it look like a pan with 12 dimples in it, you put batter in the wells add the chopped octopus, the a but more batter as they cook you roll them over.

Then they are served wit 2 sauces the one is a rich soya based one quite sweet more of a glaze and then some mayo is squirted over them there like octopus filled donut holes, and are very tasty, I brought back a stove top cooker, I don't use it that much as octopus is not easy to find unless you want a whole one or frozen, in Japan they sell it pre-cooked in the fish store and supermarkets, you can buy a few tentacles for sushi or making the dish at home, I have found the mayo from Japan here in Toronto at a Japanese store, so it is all available, some Asian store will carry it, it is called "Kewpie".
